tuffish: here's a rig that has helped harvest Crappie, Gills', Bass, Walleye, & Panfish...I've used size 4-Baitholder Hks. size 6-Mustad-hks. & Bream-size 8-hks. (Mostly on Panfish), I use different set-up for Bass*, I've not tried the Crappie-Jigs, you can find these @ Academy S&O, also BPS;, Cabelas;. Wally-Wurl; using a "Wing-it-Aerodynamic Bobbers", you can use this for fishin' with lure, or you can use it as a combanation Fixed/Slip-Bobber-riggin'; slide Bobber Stop Tube over line(BEFORE ADDING BOBBER)slide knot off of tube & tube off of line. Pull "tag" ends tight while keeping knot laid out neatly on line. Slide Bobber onto line, followed by the hook. Cut "tag" ends off as close to the knot as possible. Slide knot up or down on line to adjust hook depth. **Lead Split-Shot placed @ least 6" above hook to balance bobber.(water-lvl.should be near middle stripe).

"Fixed-Depth-Bobber; (same-bobber), Pull spring up, insert line into slot, wrap once around stem & back through slot then release spring. **(same as **above). I use night-crawlers, I just cut about 1" of worm & set on above mention hooks. Also these Bobbers have rigging instuctions on back of packets. Hope this helpful*, "Take Care", L8r. James,"VATO LOCO"<;({})><

thanks.   i have been sinking some brush piles in lake livingston for a year now hoping to get into crappie real good.  i hope this spring some will find them.  to learn how to fish for all the different species i like to try to find someone that will trade a trip and show me how they catch a certain fish and i will take them and show them how to catch the species i know a little about.  that way we both learn something new.  it seems hardest to find a guy that is real good at crappie that will trade a trip.
