there are trout in corpus christi bayou, some big gafftop in the ship channel and i am having a hard time finding reds.

Port-A's My Favorite Place to go down on the Tx. Gulf Coast* Have You tried The Robert's Pier, That Be right in front of where The Texas Treasure Gambling Ship Docks, It's Great for Night fishing off the Pier* I personally have caught 2- Monster Black-Drums Alot of Gafftop-Kittys, & Sheepshead* also, @ the jetties* You can also try the spots on the Aransa Pass side, right as you come off the bridge heading for the Ferry, on the right side there's a Reef, LOOONG*, In that area, you can see the Reds & specks's Tailing all over the place* The best time out there for Reds is from Oct.-Nov., The Red Fish Spawnin' time*** Bull Reds Galore* Check them out, also have you been to Baffin Bay, Reds, Cut-Throat Trout "Good Size Fighters* I'm Goin some time B4 School starts for Our Grankids* They Love to go down there* "Take Care" L8r. James,"VATO LOCO"

yesterday afternoon i caught more gafftop in the lydia ann channel and this morning i caught gafftop in the corpus christi ship channel. i ran into a guy at the boat ramp that did real good at the jetties this morning.

today at the jetties we caught some nice kingfish. i am in an 18 ft boat, so you know how calm the ocean was. we saw one tarpon jump and the boat next to us said he had one on for a few minutes.

I hope to make it down there some time and join y'all in the fun. Haven't fished the salty brine in over 20 years. Last was with my dad at the North Sea for eel and flounder. The chapter is even talking about making a trip to the coast for a couple of days some time down the road.

monday the kingfish slowed down a lot. we only boated one, but the tarpon that my buddy hooked into was something else. it threw the hook on the first jump. it was out of this world to see a tarpon jump with line and hook in mouth from my boat. the storm is getting to close for my wife so we are leaving today.

The storm seems to comee in fast. You guys are better off leaving for the high grounds. It sound y'all had a great time. Perhaps I can join y'all some time down the road.

I WAS A KID WHEN HURICANE BULA HIT AND WE WERE THERE IN PORT/A FISHING A WKEND TURNED INTO A WK. COULD NOT GET BACK.
