I had a gret time and each picture has a story to go with it. It would take about 1/2 a page for each picture so I will leave things as they are and just say here are a few of the Pictures from my Alaska vacation.
This is the first of the day about 50 inches and hooked in the tail. Landed, photographed, and released.
This was salmon #3 for the morning of July 7th. I hooked this on in the mouth and fought it for a few minutes then passed the rod off to my father-in-law who eventually landed it. We kept this one and had some on the grill that evening along with a couple fillets of sockeye salmon caught the day prior.

great pictures. wish i was on my way to alaska...
Thanks for sharing those great pictures with us. I may just join you next time you head North. LOL Good to have you back on Texas soil.
If you start saving your pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters, and dollars now you may have enough for when I go back in 2 or 3 years. On this trip we had someone to split the vehicle rental with, a total of 5 people in the lodge to split the cost, and we shared the cost of the groceries. Total out of pocket for the wife, 2 kids and me was about $4500.
By time you go back I should be able to go on a whim. Glad to see and hear that you guys had a great time and caught some great fish.
BTW, I, if at all, will probably go by myself, which is going to make it cheaper.
beutiful fish makes me not want to ever put pics of my fish up. they don't compare
It is hard for fish from the freshwaters in Texas to compare to the King Salmon out of the rivers of Alaska but don't ever be ashamed to post up any pics of your fish. I would love to say this is an everyday occurance for me but as we all know sometimes you hit a homerun and other times ystrike out but there is nothing wrong with consistantly getting base hits.
Good Luck and Tight Lines
