give us a post when you check in and tell us where in austin you are. do you fish fayette lake? i see where you are checking in but are not posting.
Hello tufffish
Yes I do try to keep track on the club but it seems to be slowly falling apart.
I have meet some great people on this site and it is a shame that the club is not staying strong.
I am glad to see you trying to KEEP the CLUB ALIVE!
I live in south Austin and have fished Fayette a few times, it is a great body of water.
i don't know if they are giving up or what. i move around a lot but enjoy fishing south a lot also. maybe if they could get a small tournament every other month and fish for a different species at each some would come out. i fish with a lot of guys from north texas and they just started a forum just like this.
I hope not, like I said they are a great group of people and I look forward to a revitalization of this group
Nice to see some more activity!!!. Honestly, it's more about club participation than things falling apart. There's really only a few of us left, and a couple of us that post. It would be great to bring a few fellas in. I especially love to soak in all the expertise that other folks have. I haven't had ANY luck fishing from the bank for cats at calaveras so any tips would be appreciated. I haven't heard anything from Terry about the site being reserved, because we are SUPPOSED to meet next weekend. There are still some things that have to get ironed out also I think. intexas and I are regular members but I don't think that the president and board members positions have been rearranged. With Kai having quit, Jesse would automatically be next, but nothing has been announced or redesignated. Not to mention Jesse seems to have been computerless the past few months. Would be nice to see some more numbers and activity though.
do yall meet out at calaveras? i will be at my land near lagrange and will drive over and fish and meet everyone that is there. it should be a little cooler by then also.
do yall only want people from san antonio or would guys from all around south texas be okay. i have met quite a few fishermen (this includes the girls) while traveling around and fishing. most would live to far to come to san antonio for meetings, but would come fish a few times a year when there was a gathering at one of the lakes around there. there should be some people around all the smaller towns near san antonio that would be interested also. i think this started out as an off shoot of the nafc. since they are not affiliated with it anymore, people that are not members of it could join in.
Anyone from anywhere is more than welcome. This was an offshoot of NAFC, but even then non nafc members were welcome. I'm hoping to hear something from Terry, because like I said, there's really been nothing online from Jesse. We usually have our meetings the 2nd saturday of each month. I will try to call him in the morning.
