Hey guys, I came across another website where one of the members has a brother in Iraq. He describes the living conditions there as worse than living in a box...filthy, no utilities etc. What he noticed most is that it only took a few things to make the kids smile. He would like to put the word out to get people involved with sending toys to the kids there.... No matter where or what is going on, the kids always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop. The address is

Good afternoon!! Are we enjoying the rain? I know we need it, but the ground in my yard is so hard, most of the water is just running off..... and I do try to water on a regular basis.

Glad I was fishing Saturday, and not today !! It would have been a bit too cool to be by the water with that breeze ! Looking forward to next month, no news yet from CPS.........

The bad part is, we all want to be fishing, but life kinda gets in the way ....Just like my going to SPI last week, it was a spur of the monent call that I got, and I went! Being stuck without a vehicle until next year is a major drag/inconvenionce, but it is what it is right now.... Once I am driving the Jeep, I will be more mobile and have more options available! And, then I can post what I find, and what's biting on what that day, or in the area of the lake or coast.

As far as I know, he will be there....I know the situation at Ft. Hood is an ongoing thing, so I hope he'll be available. We can all use a few hours/days of being by the water and relaxing....

Just got off of the phone with the River Authoity...they have no informationa bout what will happen after CPS takes over the lake Dec. 1st...the only thing they know is that anyone with the SARA Park Pass, they will be honored until the expiration date. After that....? No one knows anything yet, they do not know what changes, prices etc.....I will continue to check in with them until something is definite....

Okay , we need to figure out a where and when for a group outing to the coast... It does not hurt to start early. Where would the group like to go? Any and all info is good...feedback is a good thing. That means choice, placement and when that is decided, all that is left is the details...and they can be worked out with time and research...so let's do it sometime before it gets too cold to go !!

Sounds like the old soup commercial....is it soup yet???? For me, fishing is an outlet, I can shut my brain off, or not. No one at the door, no dogs, no cats, no neighbors.....just put me by the water, any water, and I am already relaxing.....to me that is the ultimate reason for fishing...........

I will be there, but this time I'm making a smaller pot o' beans ! Will be there as early as I can ..... Say Jesse, could you talk to your daughter about the bean pot,spoon, and the pan I left with her at the last meet when I met her and Frank? The bean pot is the perfect size...... Please let Frank know that I really appreciated his info on the property tax deal, it went through and I'm getting a refund from the mortgage company anytime soon.....

Went to the Red Dot Pier, along the Causeway on South Padre. They have extended the pier to hold more people. I haven't been to Port A. in quite a while....hopefully that will change next year when I have the Jeep on the road. Really looking forward to a little more independence...

Well, unfortunately not much to report for Tuesday's outing to the coast....several dogfish, many piggy perch, a few yellow tails, croaker and sand trout,a couple of skates, all too small for keeping. But, it was fun! Great to be by the saltwater, it smells wonderfully salty, warm breezes....just a good day!

Hey Jesse, this was not directed towards you at all...there's no communication or not enough communication going on....Nobody likes being left hanging and waiting. The rotation of reserving a spot is a great idea, if we can get others to get involved in it....It's the not knowing that aggravates me. I know that people are busy and they work for a living, but there has got to be better communication, or we're gonna sink.....................
By the way, sorry to hear about the hernia, hopefully this is it for you for quite a while....are they going to schedule surgery anytime soon? I am sure we can get together and torment you at home! If your wife will put up with it!
